Made for the Jouffre showroom in Long Island City and inspired by its’ neighbors, a pair of leather and oak armchairs designed by Arne Norell for Coja, the Alto side table embraces the delicate angles and shaping of the upholstery frames visible in a lot of Brazilian furniture. It was important to be able to see how each piece interacts with the next - from the legs and the aprons to the aprons and the tabletop.

The piece implements a lot of my different skills - the tabletop was modeled and CNC’d, while the aprons and legs were made with a combination of machine work and hand-shaping.
